Android Engineer and Mobile Phone Hoarder

Why do you do what you do?

My introduction to computers was through games like Oregon Trail, Command & Conquer, and AEGIS, and I've been fascinated ever since. When I took my first computer science class in high school, I was surprised by how much more I enjoyed it than normal schoolwork. I went on to study computer engineering in college and found that software is my passion.

Fast-forward to today, and I'm loving mobile development. I'm always working to improve my skills and further my knowledge, and Vokal seems to offer a ton of opportunities to do just that, all while collaborating with others who are just as passionate as I am.

Who or what inspires you?

It's always amazing to me that usable, beautiful software can be created from nothing, with the only input being time. I draw inspiration from the best apps that I use on a daily basis, and I strive to create an experience that will inspire users in the same way.

What are some unexpected facts about you?

- One of my eyes is blue and the other is half brown.
- I lived in Germany for a year and can speak (broken) German.
- In grade school, I was one of the top-ranked chess players in Illinois.
- I have a pair of magical socks that win me fantasy football games.

If you could try out any job for a day, what would it be?
