Artist turned coder, communicating your big concepts through Apple products.
I went to school as an artist because I love the abstraction, then communication, of nuanced concepts and feelings. As a practice, there is something very satisfying about taking a big idea and condensing it into an experience. This mental exercise is what carried me into coding. When I started interacting with Ruby, then Objective-C, I knew I had to pursue software engineering. To me, it’s the same kind of problem-solving, turned all the way up.
Nothing inspires me more than the moments I get to spend collaborating on an idea from scratch with a team. When we get to attempt something uncommon, visually or functionally, I enjoy those times the most.
Mostly I'm a huge nerd, but sometimes I play music in a band. I play the guitar and bass.
