Sr. Interaction Designer

Vokal is seeking an exceptional User Experience Designer to join our development team. At Vokal you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects for clients ranging from early startups to Fortune 500 clients. You will be on a team dedicated to employing best-practices across a range of technologies. Your experience as a Vokal team member matters as much as the experiences we create for our clients and the users of our products.

You are a User Experience Designer who consistently delivers on your commitments. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems in unexplored territories. You get excited about all aspects of an agile development process and look forward to collaborating with clients, other designers, and developers. You have at least five years of experience demonstrating a strong opinion on design, a solid foundation in technical design processes, and excellent communication skills. Position Responsibilities

  • Support the needs of our clients by crafting engaging and relevant products
  • Establish a strong experience design practice through process and design patterns
  • Work with our clients, project leads, visual designers, product owners, and engineers to conceptualize, design, develop, and execute uniquely engaging experiences
  • Develop documentation standards, pattern libraries, and processes to support our discipline
  • Easily pivot between high-level product discussions and the low level implications on the product, technology, timelines, and budgets
  • Learn and implement new experience design practices including research, AI, and innovation
  • Educate and lead junior designers on the team

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of design experience working on large-scale projects
  • BA/BS in Design or related field preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of design and implementation skills
  • Demonstrated ability in understanding and applying mobile OS design patterns
  • Demonstrated experience in applying web and data system/services to projects
  • Ability to balance the needs of multiple projects
  • Extensive experience working in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
